1/2 cup sugar
dash salt
1 cup whole hazelnuts,
skin on or off as desired
Method: place all ingredients into large sauté pan; place flame on high heat and using a high heat resistant rubber spatula, stir the mixture to combine and continue stirring until the sugar is dissolved and begins to become amber in color. Remove promptly to a parchment or silicon lined sheet pan to cool.
Be extremely careful since the sugar/nut mixture is very hot and can easily burn you. Cool before breaking to desired size.
